Indore : Police averted a major clash when they arrested armed men late on Tuesday night. The men reportedly came from Ujjain. The police also seized assortment of weapons from the possession of the accused.

The police received a tip-off that some suspicious looking persons were seen roaming near Heera Nagar area in a car sans registration number.

OP Tripathi, SP (East) ordered the Heera Nagar police and a PCR van in the area to check the vehicle.

The PCR van located the car and after following it for some distance, they stopped the car in which they found five men. Four of them were identified as Sunil and Sachin Dongre, Sandeep and Vinod Malviya, while the fifth one is yet to be identified. During search, the police found one pistol, four live cartridges, couple of knives and swords and other assortment of weapons.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused are related to a family residing in Ganesh Nagar. This family is in dispute with their neighbour and therefore the accused wanted to attack them when they were caught by the police.
