Police arrest nine gamblers

Indore : Aerodrome police nabbed nine gamblers from a house in Vikas Nagar on Sunday. The police also seized cash and other items from their possession. All the accused along with the house owner have been booked under the Gambling Act and are being questioned. Acting on a tip off, a police team raided the house in Vikas Nagar. Seeing cops, the gamblers tried to escape but were nabbed and brought to the police station. The police team also seized Rs 43,590 and 8 mobile phones. The racket was being operated since a long time and some of the accused belong to high profile families. So far the police have identified the gamblers as Pukhrat Salvi, Antim Soni, Sanjay Maheswari, Govind Sharma, Lokesh, Rakesh, Anil Saini, Ankur Jain and house owner Pawan.
