Indore : A 44-year-old painter committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling in Vijay Nagar area on Wednesday. He was under depression for some time. The reason of taking the extreme step could not be established yet. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
According to Investigating Officer S-I Mehra, the deceased has been identified as Subhash Bode of Scheme Number 54. He was spotted hanging in his room by his wife on Wednesday night. She immediately informed the police about the incident and took Subhash to the hospital with the help of neighbors but it was too late.
During preliminary investigation, it was found that Subhash was a well-known painter of the city and was felicitated by former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
Upon receiving the information of Subhash death, his younger brother Praveen also came to the city from Maharashtra. Praveen told the police that Subhash was in depression since few days.
The police are also taking the statement of his wife and other family members to know the reason of his suicide.
Youth alleges torture
Amar Singh Chaudhary, a resident of Jaisingpura, has alleged torture against Bhanwar Singh Chaudhary, who recently was in news with his fight with sitting MLA Satish Malviya. Amar Singh said in a complaint to the police stated that as soon as Bhawar Singh got out on bail, he has been torturing him, and even razed his Kutcha house. Further he threatened him for life, if dares him again. The Mahakal police have registered an FIR in this case under Section 294, 427, 506 and 34 of the IPC.
