SAGAR: To mark the 126th birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, a vehicle rally was taken out in the city under the leadership of former minister Surendra Choudhary.

Earlier, a large number of NSUI workers, lead by district vice-president Aditya Choudhary garlanded the statue of Ambedkar at Bhagwanganj. The rally went via Apsara Talkies, Gujarati Bazar, Katra Jamamasjid, Namak Mandi Civil Lines and Bus stand.

Raising vociferous slogans of Baba Saheb Amar Rahein and waving placards carrying the pictures of the great jurist and India’s first law minister, the rallyists said their objective was to introduce the people of the legacy of Ambedkar to rebuff the attempts by the RSS-BJP combine to usurp the Dalit icon.
