Indore : NSUI activists on Wednesday performed yagya and offered namaz on the RNT Marg campus of the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) seeking wisdom from the Almighty for the varsity officers who had given permission to a programme at university auditorium of which BJP leader Subramanian Swamy is a chief guest.
Activists led by NSUI state president Vipin Wankhede alleged that the university is saffronizing its campuses and as part of that it allocated the DAVV auditorium for a programme which is to be attended by the BJP leader.
The programme which is to be held on March 5 has been organised jointly by Dr Hedgewar Smarak Samiti and School of Commerce of DAVV. The NSUI activists on Tuesday had given a memorandum to the DAVV authorities requesting it to refuse to provide its auditorium to the programme. As the request was not heeded, the NSUI activists performed yagya and offered namaz at DAVV seeking wisdom to the university officers.
Wankhede threatened that they would not allow the programme to take place on the university auditorium.
