Indore : In an embarrassment to the National Student Union of India (NSUI), general secretary and leader of one group Javed Khan, was suspended for anti-organisation activities. The above group had overlooked the state wing’s plan and staged a demonstration on Wednesday at the collectorate to protest against the scholarship scam.
“The state wing had planned a demonstration on 16 October under the national head Rozi John, but Khan and his supporters ruined the plan and staged demonstrations a fortnight before. NSUI state in-charge Nikhil Dwivedi took a serious note of the above and suspended Khan from his post,” said NSUI state chief Vipin Wankhede. In a letter to Khan, Dwivedi said that he (Javed) had been involved in anti-organisation activities for long and did not listen to even his orders, so he was withdrawn as general secretary.
Earlier in the day, a group of Khan’s supporters staged a demonstration at the collectorate despite Section 144 being in force there. Police had to use mild force to disperse the protestors. Shortly after the protest, Dwivedi issued the suspension orders for Khan. Regarding his suspension, Khan said that it over a non-issue. “Our plan for demonstration at the collectorate was prepared much before the state’s wings, so seeing it as an anti-organisation activity is wrong.”
