Indore : Months after reevaluation system was scrapped, the standing committee of DAVV on Wednesday nodded the recommendation of a committee for not entertaining complaints pertaining to under-marking during review of answer books. Till date, the university used to consider complaints related to under-marking. But, now only unchecked answer and mistake in totaling would be addressed.

Nearly 4 years after review system was launched following a decision for the same by the coordination committee for higher education, the DAVV had constituted a 7-member panel for framing guidelines for the new system. It comprising exam controller Ashesh Tiwari and evaluation centre in-charge Deepak Bhatnagar framed the guidelines and put the same before the standing committee on Wednesday. One of the main components of the guidelines was that complaints of under-marking should not be considered. The standing committee approved the recommendation.  The approval to the guidelines has come as a major setback to students who were already being deprived of reevaluation of their answer books.  The new guidelines would be introduced shortly.

Meanwhile, the standing committee also directed the DAVV not to make Indore School of Social Works principal Jacob Thodipar member in any committee.
