Noted writer Laad dies, eyes donated

Indore : Noted writer and historian Dr Jagdish Chandra Laad, who was the first PhD scholar of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in history, passed away after a prolonged illness, on Tuesday. He was 83. His eyes were donated to a needed person through Murlidhar Kishan Gopal Parmarthik Turst and MK International.

Younger brother of film producer and script writer Darshan Laad, Dr Jagdish Chandra Laad had unfolded many undisclosed incidents of history through his research. He got PhD for his work on “Relations between Holkar and Peshwa”. Many research scholars take reference through his thesis.

Laad had also written many books for Madhya Pradesh Granth Academy.
