Holi Happiness turned into Holi horror when four minor girls suffered an allergic reaction after they sprinkled a “particular” colour on each other on Thursday. One of the girls, who was badly affected, has lodged a complaint with the police regarding the same. The cops have collected samples of the colour and have sent the same to ascertain the contents.
The incident took place at Samta Nagar area where six minor girls were playing Holi with “pink colour”. Bhanwarkuan police station in-charge Sanjay Shukla said two out of six girls were not affected in the colour play. One of them had mixed the colour in a bucket and the young girls “played” Holi with it. After a few hours, a sixteen-year-old girl (class X Student) complained of burning sensation. Later, she witnessed hairfall and portions of her skin turned black. She was scared of the same and contacted other girls in which four of them suffered same problems.
Police believe that the colour was toxic due to which they suffered allergies. However, the samples of the colour and the wrapper have been seized. Action will be taken against concerned persons if the “substance” is found to be toxic or substandard, TI Shukla added.
