Indore : The Common Admission Test (CAT)-2014 registration window shutdown on Tuesday mid-night dashing all speculations that the deadline would be extended as two days registrations remained suspended.

CAT-2014 registration remained suspended from September 28 to 29 which made a good case to expect extension in registration date. Plus there were number of confusions and clarifications regarding CAT-2014 so aspirants were anticipating extension in the registration date.

However, expectations and speculations fell straight with the Indian Institute of Management Indore denying any extension of deadline.

CAT-2014 convener Dr Rohit Kapoor said that the candidates got adequate time to register for the test so there was no need to extend the registration deadline. CAT 2014 registration completed 56 days as it started on August 6 and closed on September 30. CAT registration was opened this year with many changes which are rated aspirant-friendly.

For CAT 2014 all the aspirants need to register online and have to pay the necessary registration fee online only. The dual online and offline payment facility does no longer exist.

Aspirants do not have to schedule their test, date and test centre in CAT 2014 registration process.

CAT-2014 would be held at 354 test centres in 99 cities on November 16 and 22 and results would be announced in the third week of December.
