Indore : Tall claims of district health department officials for launching the 24- hour call centre to control the dengue menace fell flat when the call centre employees refused to register complaints of dengue and referred the complainant to the District Malaria Officer.

Moreover, the employees reprimanded the complainants for calling again as the call centre number is only for Janani Express.

A chaos like situation is prevailing in the city following the increasing dengue cases. About 46 patients have been tasted positive and six have died due to the disease.

After the directions of higher officials, joint director, health, Dr Sharad Pandit directed the officials to launch a 24- hour helpline.
