Indore : After giving the feel of winters for a couple of days, the city temperature again increased on Sunday causing hot atmosphere, especially at night.
Meteorological Department officials said that the city would witness light rains in the next couple of days.
According to the officials, the temperature has been increasing due to cloudy weather and it will plummet only after clear skies.
“There are chances of light rains in the next couple of days due to local low pressure area generation. Night temperature had gone down due to north eastern winds coming to the city. From Sunday, south west winds started striking the city, causing rise in temperature,” met officials added.
Maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 29.8 degree Celsius which was one degree above normal whereas the minimum temperature was recorded at 16.4 degree Celsius which was three degrees above normal.
They added that the generation of low pressure area in Arabian Sea could also cause a spell of heavy rain in the city soon as the changes have been affecting the weather of Mumbai and other region of Maharashtra.
