Neemuch: Police rescue Dayali's sarpanch from Bhadana

Neemuch: Search for Dayali sarpanch who was abducted about three-day back came to an end as acting on a tip-off he was rescued from Bandana village.

Neemuch SP Suraj Kumar Verma said that police teams were pressed to rescue sarpanch after 11 to 12 persons abducted him on Wednesday from Gandhi Sagar road while he was heading to his place on motorcycle.

Verma added that now statement of sarpanch will be recorded and based on his statement the cops will decide further course of investigation. As we got sarpanch, now our priority to find out those who involved in abduction,Verma added.

On Thursday, a day after abduction of Dayama, more than 100 villagers and Dayamaís supporters from Dayali village reached Balaganj village and vandalised the homes of alleged abductors. The mob damaged houses, vehicles. They vandalized TV refrigerator, coolers, motorcycles and tractors.

Fortunately, timely intervention by police prevented the situation from going out of hands. Heavy police force was deployed in both villages and a manhunt is on to nab the accused.

Local police claimed that the abduction is related to some old dispute, but village sources claimed that the entire incident was fallout of ongoing tiff between two factions of Banjara community.
