Manasa (Neemuch district, Madhya Pradesh): With relaxation in online registration norms, vaccination centres across Madhya Pradesh witnessed huge crowd. Long queues could be seen at vaccination centres since early morning on Saturday. The confusion regarding online registration for vaccination resulted in scuffle at many places.
Meanwhile, a vaccination centre in Manasa tehsil of Neemuch district witnessed an unusual scene. People, mostly belonging to 18-44 age group who came for vaccination, put their slippers in a queue outside the centre at Government Girls School. While some of them stood under tree or shade, others interacted on social media.
Those who were present at the vaccination centre said “they are here to get token for vaccination”. Raising question on new arrangement, they said getting token for vaccination is more challenging than online registration.
As soon as the information reached sub-divisional magistrate Manish Jain, he objected to public act. “To avoid crowd gathering, we started token system. Crowd gathering or putting slippers or any of belongings in queue is not correct,” he remarked.
He, whoever, added that most people at tehsil level will be vaccinated within a week. From next week, there will be a less number of people at vaccination centre.
