Nagda: Vaccines arrive in afternoon, inoculation continues till late evening

On Tuesday, more than 10,000 vaccines were administered and on Wednesday 4,600 citizens were inoculated.

Nagda (Ujjain district, Madhya Pradesh): Vaccination was done till late evening on Thursday as vaccines were received late whereas on Tuesday and Wednesday record vaccinations were done.

On Tuesday, more than 10,000 vaccines were administered and on Wednesday 4,600 citizens were inoculated. Due to non-availability of vaccines on time, vaccination could start only after 3 pm on Thursday. Vaccine doses reached district headquarters at 1.30 pm.

Despite this, vaccines were made available in district by 3 pm. Vaccination in Nagda tehsil continued till 8 pm.

Government officials

Sources said district administration has issued directives that government employees who have not vaccinated against Covid-19 will not get salary in July.

Nagda block medical officer Dr Kamal Solanki, when contacted, said, “The vaccine doses were made available at district headquarters at 1.30 pm. The vaccines reached centres till 3 pm. In such a situation, vaccination was done till late evening.”
