As many as 50 contractual employees joined the work on Tuesday while others continued to stage demonstration at the Chief Medical and Health Officer’s office and distributed lollypops to the passers-by and pamphlets regarding their demands.
According to CMHO Dr Shantilal Porwal, “Multipurpose employees called off their strike and joined the duties after which the health facilities in rural areas returned to normalcy.”
He said that 50 contractual employees designated to distribute TB medicines also returned to work on Tuesday after getting warning notices from the department.
“We will take action as per the directions from the health department against the agitating employees on Wednesday,” Porwal added.
