Indore : In a shocking incident, a miscreant barged into house of a businessman, on Friday and allegedly snatched a gold chain from his wife’s neck in Anoop Nagar area.
According to MIG police, the incident took place in the residence of Ganeshmal Bihani of Anoop Nagar, a businessman by profession when his wife Shyamadevi (53), was entertaining some guests at her residence at 8pm.
Suddenly, a youth on the pretext of enquiring about the maid servant entered her house. When Shyamadevi reached the main door to speak to him, he allegedly tried to snatch her gold chain but Shyamadevi held the chain hard. On this, the miscreant caught hold of her neck hard and poked something edgy on her hand and fled the scene with the chain.
After this, Shyamadevi raised an alarm for help but before anyone could reach, the miscreant fled away.
Shyamadevi said that her three sons were not at the residence at the time of incident and her husband had gone to Ahmedabad for some work.
She added that when the miscreant tried to flee the scene, she held her T-shirt but in return he attacked her with a pointed thing and sped away in his bike. She even raised an alarm for help but in vain.
The police reached the scene and started investigations. The police are also rummaging through CCTV footages from nearby places.
