Indore : Stating that smart phones would play a key role in the Smart City project of Indore, IT expert Kishore Bhuradia said that there are some misconceptions regarding radiation from mobile phone towers, which are required to be cleared.
It is a general belief that radiation will enhance if mobile towers are increased. However, the fact is just the opposite. More the towers, less the radiation,” he while addressing a symposium organised by Indore Municipal Corporation on smart city at Hotel Lemon Tree on Monday. The IMC is collecting deliberations from intelligentsia of the city to prepare a blueprint for the smart city.
Bhuradia said that there is need to better the information technology sector in the city with a push to free Wi-Fi zone and improved penetration of smart phones. Institute of Engineering and Technology director Sanjeev Tokekar also pushed for enhancement in IT sector. He said that until IT sector is encouraged, the smart city purpose would remain defeated.
Mayor Malini Gaud said that the IMC is automating its administrative works as part of the smart city project. She said that Indore wants to be among the top-20 cities to implement smart city project.
