Indore: Acting against the medicos, who were arrested by the Special Task Force ( STF) for taking admission in the medical college through unfair means, the MGM Medical College authorities will suspend three accused students.
After getting information about arrest of three students by the STF, the college authorities transferred the matter to the disciplinary committee to decide the further action by the college.
“ We have transferred the matter to the disciplinary committee after getting information from the STF. The Committee comprising senior professors— Dr Sanjay Dadu, Dr Ulka Shrivastava, Dr Pradeep Bhargav and others recommended suspension of the accused students from the college,” Vice Dean of MGMMC Dr Sanjay Dixit said.
The arrested students were Anurag Jain, Sunny Juneja and Samir Mandloi, all in PG II year at MGM Medical College. They were presented in the court in Bhopal and have been sent to remand till December 3. College sources said that the accused would be terminated from the college and their admission would also be cancelled.
According to sources, one of the accused, Anurag Jain, is son of IAS officer KC Jain, who is posted as Additional Commissioner ( revenue) in Ujjain, whereas Sunny’s father is a doctor ( Ayurvedic) Dharamchand Mandloi in Dhar.
Sources further said that Anurag Jain was the topper in MP Pre- PG- 2012 and Samir Mandloi was on the fourth rank in the same exam. “ The accused had given Rs 75 lakh and Rs 72 lakh respectively to the General Manager of Sri Aurobindo Medical College Pradeep Raghuvanshi, who was running a racket, for securing the position in the exam,” sources added.
Sources said that more people will be arrested by the investigation agency soon.They were arrested by the STF on Nov 30, sent on remand
