Indore : MGM Medical College administration on Wednesday served show-cause notices to three junior doctors on Thursday over scuffle between the attendants and junior doctors few days ago. College administration served the notice on the basis of footages of CCTV cameras installed at the MY Hospital which recorded the sequence of events. It asked three junior doctors about their involvement in thrashing the patients’ attendants.
According to Dean Dr MK Rathore, the notices have been served on the basis of CCTV footages of the day of incident. “We have given them a time of seven days to the junior doctors to reply or action will be taken against them,” Dr Rathore said.
The notices have been served to Dr Lallan Singh, who was allegedly thrashed and injured by the family members after the death of their patient, Dr Shailendra and Dr Mohit.
Meanwhile, president of Junior Doctors Association Dr Mohit Naredi said that there is no substantial facts in the notice and the JDA is preparing a reply.
It is to be noted that a chaos like was prevailed in MY Hospital on June 25 when family members of a diarrhoea patient created ruckus in the hospital after his death. The family members allegedly thrashed the junior doctors and staff of the hospital before taking the body with them.
After the incident, junior doctors had gone on mass leave for four days demanding security in the hospital. After staging many agitations, junior doctors had return on work when the college administration told them to lodge police complaint against them as they were also involved in thrashing the attendants and were caught in the CCTV cameras of the ward.
