Indore : Medical Council of India (MCI) on Saturday gave its nod to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College for increasing four PG seats, two each in skin and radiotherapy department.

Now the college can give admission for four seats in these departments.

“We have requested the medical council for increasing 40 PG seats as per new norms of seat increment on the basis of number of professors and associate professors. MCI has given us nod to increase four PG seats in two departments,” acting Dean Dr Sanjay Dixit said.

He said that the college will send a fresh request to MCI for increasing seats by March 9. The medical college has gain two seats in skin department after the recent posting of Dr HK Narang.
