Indore : An MBA student was killed when a bus hit his bike in Rau here on Saturday night. He was returning home when the accident occurred. Police have registered a case and are trying to trace the errant bus driver.

According to the police, the deceased, identified as Akshay Suliya, 22, of Badwani, was staying here in Sarvasampanna Nagar in a rented accommodation. He was pursuing MBA from a private college.

In preliminary investigation, it was found that Akshay was returning from somewhere on his bike when the bus hit his bike. He got critically injured and was rushed to the hospital by passers-by but it was too late. After the accident, the errant driver managed to flee with the bus from the spot. A search is on for the accused. Akshay’s father is employed as an officer with a government department in Barwani.

Youth ends life

A 28-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling in MIG area on Saturday. The police said that the accused has been identified as Akash of Rustam Ka Bagicha. He had returned from his job on Saturday night and hanged himself from the ceiling. One of his family members found him hanging and he was immediately rushed to the hospital but it was too late. The reason for taking extreme step could not be established yet.

Youths damage vehicles

Some drunken youths created ruckus and damaged some four-wheelers after thrashing a youth in Pardeshipura area, on Saturday. Police are searching for the accused. According to the police, one Rakesh of Kulkarni Ka Bhatta lodged a complaint that accused Ajju, Satyam, Rohit and Sonu of the same area were creating ruckus in front of his house on Saturday night. He tried to pacify them but the accused thrashed him and other residents of the colony. Later, they damaged vehicles parked outside the house and threatened him of dire consequences. The police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the IPC and started an investigation into the matter.
