Indore : With the grand arrival of Bappa, Ganesh Utsav has started with full enthusiasm. Ganesh Mandal is known for its cultural programmes now-a-days. It started with a powerful performance of Manjusha Patil. Chief guests were Sunil and Anil Joshi.
“Manjusha” is well-known name of young brigade for Indian classical music. She begins her musical note with `Raag Bhoop’. She presented “Jab Mai Jagi”. It was in Madhya `lay of taal tilwada’ and `Jab Se Tumsan Lagi’ in teen taal.
With her first recital she took the hold of the audience. The next presentation was a melodious thumri in `Mishra Khamaj’.
Manjusha recited a rich variety of taanas. Boltaanas, sapat, koot, vakra, firat taan etc were worth enjoying. She created a magical ambiance.
After this she started light as bhajan abhang natyasangit. Meera’s bhajan `Mhare Ghar Avoji Pritam Pyara’ was appreciated by all. Her `gayaki’ shows the influence of her guru Padmashree Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar. Tanmay Devchake was on harmonium and Prashant Pandav on tabla. All three young artistes were performing equally well. She concluded her recital with a composition in `Raga Bhairavi’.
