Sendhwa: A man allegedly tried to outrage the modesty of a married woman and physically tortured her in the village Jhopali on Monday. An FIR has been registered on the complaint of the woman. Police are making efforts to arrest him.

As per the information received from the rural station, a 40-year-old married woman accused that her brother-in-law tried to misbehave with her, abused her and physically tortured her when she was collecting wooden sticks placed near her house.

Narrating the whole incident, the woman said that on Monday morning at round 5 am when she went to pick up wooden sticks to make tea, then her brother-in-law identified as Shivram Sanpat Barela started abusing her and with the wrong intentions he strongly hold her hand. When the woman opposed this, he threw her on the ground due to which she suffered injuries on legs and upper part of her body. She also alleged that he threatened her and asked her not to tell anyone.

Woman then narrated the incident to her family and registered the complaint against the accused. Police have registered the case under the various sections of IPC and the search for the accused is on.
