Indore : Rajendra Nagar Police, on Friday arrested a man who was forcing a married woman to live with him and upon refusal, pushed her off the terrace of his house, causing injuries to her.
Jitendra Tanwar, a resident of Multani Colony, Rau, was forcing a woman living in his neighbourhood to have an affair with him and live with him, but the woman refused.
On the intervening night of June 24 and 25, Jitendra called the woman to his house using an excuse and told her that he wanted to marry her. However, the woman refused whereupon Jitendra beat her up, dragged her to the terrace of his house, pushed her off and then fled the scene.
Meanwhile woman’s husband and brother began searching for her and found her lying injured behind Jitendra’s house. They took her to hospital where she is undergoing treatment. Rajendra Nagar police had registered the case and then arrested Jitendra on Friday.
