Indore : “Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) must identify major markets and other areas to collect garbage and maintain cleanliness in night hours as well by means of night-street cleaning. A call center must be set up with a toll-free number so that the people may register their complaints in regards to collection of garbage.
“Immediate resolution must be done to the complaint registered,” told the District Magistrate Akash Tripathi to the IMC officials during a meeting, held at the Collectorate, here, on Friday.
Tripathi also wanted to know from the officials about the efforts being made by the authority to make the city clean. He also asked them about available staff and resources and instructed them to explore every available force and resources to their limit to make the city clean.
Tripathi said that daily review meeting in this regards must be held. This must be carried out in the form of a campaign.
Tripathi further said that systematic arrangements must be made to collect garbage and areas must be identified where the garbage collection could be made twice or thrice a day. He added that an employee of the IMC must be deployed in such areas to maintain the cleanliness and to check garbage doesn’t get spread over the roads and must be dumped in the garbage bin.
Increase number of garbage bins
During the meeting, Tripathi also instructed the IMC officials to increase number of garbage bins in the city.
He said that the garbage from all the bins must be collected before noon. He added that it must be taken care that the vehicle taking the garbage must be properly covered so that the garbage doesn’t fall on the streets.
CCTV cameras at Trenching Ground
The DM issued instructions to install CCTV cameras at Trenching Ground so that how many vehicles are dropping the garbage in the Trenching Ground could be calculated.
