Madhya Pradesh: Woman dies of electrocution, son, husband injured in the incident in Guna

GUNA (MADHYA PRADESH): A 58-year-old woman died after getting electrocuted in village Barodia of the district. The son and husband who went to save the woman also got electrocuted.

At around 4:00 pm on Monday, a 58-year-old woman Ram Sukhi Lodha had gone to her farm to harvest vegetables in village Barodia under Cantt police station area/ Suddenly due to strong winds an electric wire broke and fell in the field. Meanwhile, stray animals entered the field and as the woman went about driving them away, she came in contact with the live wire and got electrocuted.

Her husband Moolchand Lodha and son Harnam Singh witnessed the incident and rushed to save the woman. However, they also got electrocuted. The villagers gathered on the spot, rescued the trio and sent the woman to the District Hospital for treatment.

But on the way, the woman died while son Harnam Singh was admitted to the hospital for treatment. The woman's husband Moolchand was treated at home as he suffered a minor electrocution.
