Madhya Pradesh: Two robbed of Rs 1 lakh in Alot

Alot: Locals in Alot tehsil of Ratlam district are a worried lot as the town witnessed another loot incident on Wednesday. Police said that unidentified bike borne accused robbed Rafique Kabadi and Firoz of Rs 100,000 near Vikramgarh Fanta on Alot bypass.

The victims withdrew Rs 100,000 from a private bank near Kargil Square.

While they were heading towards their place, two masked-accused approached towards them on a bike. The pillion rider kicked their motorcycle and a result of that Rafiq lost control and the duo fell on the road.

Accused duo picked cash which was wrapped in a handkerchief and fled.

After the incident, Rafiq and Firoz lodged a complaint at Alot police station. Police are scanning the footage of CCTVs in the area.

Rafiq suffered an injury after falling from the motorcycle and has undergone a medical examination.

Police station in-charge Deepak Shejwar said that an FIR has been registered, and we are probing the matter.

The incident created panic among the people here and raised question over the efficiency of police.
