Guna: Two men have been arrested for chopping off the leg of a farmer while he was sleeping at his farm.
The accused have been identified as Sarwan alias Chandu Lodhi and his aide.
Guna police said that accused duo chopped off leg of one Hemraj Lodhi, 35, a resident of Gwarkheda village under Bamori police station limit. At the time of incident, victim sleeping at his farm along with his wife Laxmi Lodhi, 30.
On being informed the Bamori police station immediately reached the spot and rushed the injured and his family to district hospital.
On the report of Laxmi Lodhi, unidentified accused were booked under sections 294, 323, 326, 506, 34, 307 of Indian Penal Code.
Preliminary investigation revealed that old rivalry between victim Hemraj and accused Sarwan was the motive behind the attack.

After the end of a 42-day Corona Curfew, the town registered 9 corona patients on Wednesday. Five patients were reported on Tuesday. Out of 278 RT PCR tests, 8 were tested positive while on Tuesday 5 were tested positive out of 1,199 tests. The positivity rate for RT PCR test dropped from 3.66% to 3%. Only one sample tested positive in 1,072 antigen tests taken in town. Forty-four corona patients recovered and the recovery rate increased from 92.5% to 93.2%. The positivity rate has been under 5% from the last 19 days.
