Madhya Pradesh: Rs 2.42 L collected from 849 Covidiots in Jaora

JAORA (RATLAM): During the second wave of Covid-19 local administration has collected Rs 2.42 lakhs as fines from 849 Covidiots in fifty days here in Jaora tehsil of Ratlam district.

The administration also took the shopkeepers who were flouting corona norms by operating on the sly.

The Revenue department too collected Rs 70,000. Tehsildar and patwaris together have sealed over 20 shops

Challans of 849 people have been made so far. On Friday, the cops collected Rs 23,000 as fines from 10 people. A total of Rs 1.22 lakhs were collected from people who were not wearing masks during Corona Curfew.

Under the Motor Vehicle Act, administration made challans on 280 drivers and collected Rs 1.20 lakhs.

The administration also sent 241 people to temporary jail during this period. The unlock process is slated to start after June 1.
