Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): The District Police organised a training programme at the Police Control Room meeting hall here on Thursday to provide information about the effective implementation of the New Criminal Amendment Act 2023, or the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which replaces the Criminal Procedure Code, and its various provisions.

The objective of this training was to make the investigating officer and supervisory officer working at the district level aware of the nuances of the new Act, so that they can effectively implement these laws on the ground.

SP Pradeep Sharma and all other officers participated in the training. The SP motivated those present to work by the new Act and expressed confidence that such training programmes will make the crime investigation system more robust.

Major topics and sessions of the training included reviewing the new process of FIR registration, e-FIR, Zero FIR under BNSS 173, process of arrest and custody, evidence collection and scientific management, scene of Crime and role of FSL, filing of charge sheet and final report as per the deadline, digital platforms such as e-Shakshya, e-Rakshak, and fingerprint identification system.
