Mahidpur: A nurse was assaulted and misbehaved with for asking brother-sister duo to wear a mask in government hospital to keep coronavirus infection away.
According to information, Salman reached government hospital on Friday evening with his wife and sister Rasiya. His wife was in family ways and experiencing labour pains. Nurse on duty Shobha Vijayvar asked Salman and his sister to wear mask in hospital. Irked over it, Salman and Rasiya started misbehaving with her. They also tried to assault Vijayvar.
As soon as other hospital staff came to know of the incident, they gathered at the spot and demanded action against the accused. On Saturday, the hospital staff boycotted emergency duties for two hours and visited police station to lodge a complaint. Sub- Inspector Amit Damor informed them that a case had been registered and investigation was underway.
