Indore: In what is a new facility, the LPG consumers of Bharat Gas can now book the cylinder through missed call and WhatsApp also.

Mohammad Sohail Akhtar, head of LPG in the state for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL- MP) informed that the company has taken this initiative for the convenience of consumers keeping in view the Covid-19 pandemic.

The company's rural consumers do not use Android mobiles. Such consumers can book a gas cylinder by making a missed call on 7710955555 from their registered mobile number. The consumers can also book LPG cylinders on

WhatsApp number-1800224344. As soon as the consumers send the hi message on WhatsApp, the India gas menu will appear on the mobile screen. If you want to book an LPG gas cylinder, you will have to press one, to pay you will have to press 2 or if you want to complain, then you press three. The company plans to launch a campaign from August 1 to 31 to popularise the numbers.

Under the Prime Minister Ujjwala scheme, there are 12728 LPG consumers of Bharat Gas in Indore district. The number of consumers of common gas cylinders is 279632. Most of the consumers in rural areas still use normal mobiles instead of Android, and they come to the shop for booking.
