Madhya Pradesh: Jains community mourn death of Ghevarmal Banthia

Banthia was vice-0president of Nageshwar Gin Kushal Suri Dadawadi Pedhi and president of Sherpur Jain Temple Trust.

ALOT (RATLAM DISTRICT): Ongoing pandemic once again caused an irreparable damage to the Jain community as Ghevarmal Banthia, an eminent person of Jain society from Alot tehsil of Ratlam district as well as patron of Malwa Shwetambar Khatragachchh Sangh died in Indore on Thursday.

He was 78 and was undergoing treatment for novel coronavirus at Indore. He was cremated in Indore following complete Covid-19 protocol.

Many members of Jain community from across the district condoled the death of Ghevarmal Banthia.

This is the second death in Banthia family within a span of four days. Few days back, his younger brother Gyanchand Banthia had passed away during treatment in Indore.

Ghevarmal Banthia was the vice-president of Nageshwar Gin Kushal Suri Dadawadi Pedhi and president of Sherpur Jain Temple Trust. He was also associated with the various social organisations and pioneered in the field of social work and his demise caused an irreparable damage to the Jain society here in Alot.
