Dhar: Indore Dahod and Chhota Udaipur Dhar Rail Lao Mahasamiti has presented a memorandum to the BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvergiya demanding to bring rail connectivity up to Dhar.

They said that in this year's railway budget, Rs 20 crore was given for this project by the Ministry of Railways and recently Rs 50 crores more has been approved for improving rail connectivity in Nimar.

In this way, total Rs 70 crore has been sanctioned for Indore ñ Dahod rail line and its turning out to be the life line for Dhar ñ Jhabua region which is deprived of rail connectivity since after independence.

Prime minister Narendra Modiji has promised to complete this rail project, but due to lack of will power and intentions of politicians, railway officials are neglecting it even though the project is 40 per cent complete.

Under the guise of corona, the railway officials have canceled the tender- closing the work of the bridge, culvert and tunnel and have placed the project in the backburner, alleged Mahasamiti members.

Dhar BJP MLA Nina Verma, district president Raju Yadav and others were present.
