Mahidpur (Madhya Pradesh): Rivals of BJP and Congress party are ready to compete with each other in two tehsils of Mahidpur janpad panchayat. Each party is facing problems due to independent candidates. It includes four wards of Mahidpur and Jharda in which four seats are reserved for zilla panchayat representatives. Seats of Ward11 and Ward13 hold 50 per cent reservation for women.
On the other hand, male candidates are trying hard to win seats of Ward 10 and 12. For Ward 10, along with BJP candidate Ishwar Singh, his own party's Shyam Singh Tarot is contesting the election as a rebel. Congress candidate Jeevan Singh Anjana is about to compete with party rebel Dilip Singh.
For Ward 11, rebel Krishna Kunwar Dilip Singh is ready to fight against the BJP candidate Ranu Kunwar Mahendra Singh in the upcoming election. In Ward 12, Narayan Singh Sisodia is being seen as backed by the BJP, the last time his mother was elected as district panchayat president.
Notably, the third phase of polling will be held on July 8. Last time, all four seats of the district went to the account of BJP, but this time due to rebels coming in the fray, close results can also come to the fore.
