Madhya Pradesh: Accused killed woman after raping her in Ratlam Blind murder case

Ratlam: Ratlam police on Friday claimed to crack the murder of an unidentified woman whose dead body was found on Mhow-Neemuch road near Prakash Nagar in Ratlam district on June 19. Ratlam police had announced a cash prize of Rs 10,000 for any leads on the case.

Police have identified the deceased as a resident of Rau, Indore.

Accused Suresh Jatav, a resident of Badi Mohalla, Rau was arrested on Friday. Police investigation revealed accused was seen along with deceased in an Eicher truck on June 17 and its movement was verified at toll booth.

Ratlam police searched at least fifty missing women and more contacted over 200 persons and eventually identified the deceased.

Accused Suresh Jatav told cops that he and the deceased consumed liquor on June 17 in the evening near Shramik Colony and they both were travelling to Ratlam on the truck. It was raining night and on the Indore-Depalpur road he raped her. When deceased started crying he strangulated her.

He threw her body near Mhow-Neemuch highway road late on June 18 and covered her body with a saree . SP Tiwari said that a team led by Additional SP Dr Inderajeet Bakalwar was constituted to solve the murder.
