Lord Parshuram’s idol shifted from Marimata Square

Indore: At last, the idol of Lord Parshuram, which was comimg in the way of road widening work at Marimata Square, was shifted to a nearby location on Monday. The shifting of idol was supervised by senior BJP leader Vishnu Prasad Shukla, who established it.

The administration had started reducing the platform of the idol at Marimata Square. On Monday, the idol was shifted from Marimata Square to the premises of a petrol pump, owned by the Shuklas.

On Monday noon, senior BJP leader along with his supporters reached Marimata Square. After properly packing the idol, it was shifted to the new location.

Speaking to Free Press, Vishnu Prasad Shukla said: “ We shifted the idol to our petrol pump. Now, on Akshaya Tritya, we will hold ‘ pranpratishtta’ of the idol there.” Though the idol was not coming in the way of road widening work, yet about 2 feet of its platform was coming in the way. That’s why, the administration was adamant to remove the idol but the senior Shukla remained silent on the issue.
