Barwani : SPIC MACAY Barwani organized Odisi Dance Training sessions at two schools on Wednesday. Janhavi Baihara performed on the story of Lord Shreeram dealing with Shurpnakah’s (Ravan’s sister) marriage proposal and Laxman ends up chopping her nose and ears. Later Ravan sends a gold dear, for which Lord Ram goes to forest and meanwhile; Ravan kidnaps Seeta. The depiction was performed at Excellent school where students were enthralled by the performance.
The artist Janhavi Baihara next performed Madhurashtak which was highly commended by the school principal Manish Gautam. She said that it was unprecedented performance. The second training session was organized at Eklavya Adarsh School Barwani which was commenced with lamp ignition by the principal Ashram Mujalde. Janhavi Baihara detailed the history of the dance form and performed as well. The district coordinator Anil Joshi proposed the vote of thanks to SPIC MACAY.
