Indore : The 120 clubs coming under the Lions Club International District 323 G1along with 4000 members are going to celebrate its foundation day on July 25-26.

On the occasion, the first international vice president Dr Jitsuhiro Yamada will be present along with international director Andoseri Lion Aruna Oswal, former international director Kamlesh Jain, past international director Naresh Agrawal, Premchand Bapana, Mayor Krishna Murari Moghe and Sant Uttam Swamiji.

The district governor of Lions Club International Kulbhoot Mittal while informing the media about the ceremony said, “It is the first time that the club is organising a ceremony filled with colourful events in Indore.”

Members of 120 clubs will inaugurate the event together at Ravindra Natya Gragh. KP Maheswari will co-ordinate the event under the leadership of former international director of the club Kamlesh Jain.

First vice president of the club, Dr Jitsuhiro Yamada will be the chief guest of this event. During the two-day event, members of the club will donate bags to 10,000 students of over 100 government schools.

On Saturday the Lions will organise a march from Nehru Statue to Ravindra Natya Gragh where members of their region, zone and club-level participate.

The march will be followed by an oath-taking ceremony where vice district governor Rajendra Garg will take the oath first followed by vice district governor Satish Bhalla.

Dr Jitsuhiro Yamada first vice president Dr Jitsuhiro Yamada from Minokamo, Japan was elected as the first vice president of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 97th international convention held in Toronto, Canada.

Dr Yamada is a neurosurgeon and has been a member of the Lions Club International since 1985. During his tenure, he has held many offices in the association including district governor and GLT constitutional area vice leader.

Dr Yamada has also served on the board from 2005 to 2007 as a member of the executive committee, Long Range Planning Committee and also as vice chairperson of the convention committee.
