Indore : After making his points clear to the IMC Commissioner, social activist Kishore Kodwani on Friday evening concluded his indefinite dharna at the IMC premise. He was on dharna from Monday. The protest came to an end after Commissioner gave him a year.

According to the information received, the IMC Commissioner, Rakesh Singh, on numerous occasions tried talking to the social activists and ask him to end his protest but in vain. On Friday, the Commissioner spoke to him and assured him of adequate actions on his demands.

Now, Kodwani and Singh would soon approach the Collector Akash Tripathi.

On the other hand, there are reports, which say that the social activist was sleeping in a car during the nights. But during his stir he had blocked the Commissioner’s parking area by sitting on a Dharna at the location.

It is to be noted that the social activist had demanded suspension of senior health officials of IMC Dr KS Verma and Dr Garg and blamed that they are responsible for the poor management of cleaning facilities in the city.

It was said that his demands included keeping a close watch on trenching ground for 72 hours, cross checking of garbage collection for at least 75 days in each ward of IMC, implementation of satellite application, issuing of documents demanded through RTI and suspension of both the health officers.
