Indore: Workers of the BJP Kisan Morcha staged a demonstration against antifarmer policies of the Union Government at railway station, on Friday. As per announcement, 200 workers reached platform no 5 at 1pm. Police had already barricaded the entry gate of platform- 5 to stop the workers from entering it and prevent them from stopping movement of trains. When the workers tried to enter the platform, the police personnel stopped them.
Thereafter, they started raising slogans against the Central Government, calling their policies ‘ antifarmer’. They also shout slogans in favour of Narendra Modi.
SDM Dr Varadmurthi Mishra stated that the agitating workers were arrested but after some time they were released. Dr Mishra said they were released because of their peaceful protest. Divisional president of BJP Kisan Morcha Kanchan Singh Patel claimed that at least 840 workers were held for staging demo. However, RPF Inspector Mukesh Anandkar said that about 200 workers were present at the demonstration.
