Indore : Family members of Rajendra Kaswa, the main accused of Petlawad blast, received his mortal remains from police, on Tuesday.
Police handed over them ‘Bag No. 6’, kept in the MY Hospital mortuary after getting confirmation of his death through the DNA test.
Family members of Kaswa performed his last rites at Panchkuiya crematorium. Kaswa’s son Shubham performed the rituals while his daughters and wife were also present.
Kaswa’a nephew, Monesh Jain, reached MY Hospital to take the body parts of Kaswa, responsible for the death of more than 80 people, with ASI Padam Singh of Petlawad police station.
After completing the formalities in the hospital, Monesh took the bag containing Kaswa’s remains to the crematorium in an ambulance where the last rites were performed.
It is to be noted that the police were searching for the main accused from after the blast but it was confirmed through the DNA reports that he also died in the blast.
