Indore: Police solved the murder of notorious goon, Ajju Khatik and arrested five persons in this connection, on Monday. The accused also admitted their crime and said that they were harassed by the notorious goon. SP ( East) OP Tripathi said Ajju alias Ajay Khatik was murdered on January 1 in North Toda. At that time, a team of FSL and police had reached the spot.

The team recovered three empty shells from the spot.During investigation, the police found two bullet injuries were found on the upper side of his neck.The police analysed the data obtained from the victim’s mobile and also enquired his friends about his enemies. After this police obtained names of some suspects. The police kept a watch on their activities and nabbed the accused at Sarwate bus stand when they were planning to go to Maharashtra for hiding.

The accused are: Anil Maratha, Girwa alias Giriraj, Sandeep, Rohit Suryavanshi and Munna Ahirwar of North Toda. The accused told police that all of them were harassed by Ajju because he used to abuse them, frighten them and thrashed them many times. They did not approach the police because of his terror in the area.The whole locality was terrorized by Ajju, they added.

They also said that, on December 31, when they were celebrating the New ear and drinking bear, near Ghataiya Baba; Ajju came there, abused them, slapped them and took away their bear bottle. So, at that time, the enraged accused decided to kill him.

Then, as per their plan, the accused killed him in the evening, on the next day. The accused Sandeep fired by a pistol on him from the back side. Due to which he fell on the ground. Then, all of them together attacked him with knives and killed him.

After this incident, they went to Omkareshwar. Police have seized two pistols from them. But, till now the knives used in murder and the blood- stained clothes are not recovered. Police investigations are still on.
