Mandleshwar (Khargone district, Madhya Pradesh): Social organisations have come forward to provide food and water to animals in the district.
Vishwamangal Group of Mandleshwar has been arranging food and water for monkeys in forests located along Jamghat. The water sources in the area have dried. The organisation has been providing food and water to monkeys on every Tuesday and Saturday for last two months.
Group member Rupesh Dakolia said members of Karhi and neighbouring areas, Vishal Aswani, Sandeep Patidar, Jai Singh Chouhan, Prashant Kushwaha, Rahul Goswami, Raja Goswami, Jitendra Verma have lent support. All the young members of the organisation visit Jamghat every Tuesday and Saturday, the days dedicated to worship of Lord Hanuman.
They collect 25 dozen bananas, 25 kilograms of watermelon, 150 biscuit packets and 60-80 litres of water for monkeys with public support. Giving information, Dakolia said 4 to 5 cement water tanks will be made on roadside in Jamghat area. These tanks will be filled with water for animals.
