Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The chief executive officer (CEO) in Bhikangaon janpad panchayat allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his official residence late on Sunday night, police said on Monday. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.

The CEO identified as Rajesh Bahoti was found hanging from a ceiling at his official residence. Police have recovered suicide note from spot.

Though senior police officials refuted to divulge details of suicide note stating that matter is under investigating, sources claimed that Bahoti has mentioned names of some senior government officials and a contractor who is reportedly associated with ruling BJP party.

Khargone Superintendent of Police (SP) Shailendra Singh Chouhan said that a suicide note was found from spot. “The suicide note was under investigation. As of now, we can’t disclose the content of the note,” he said.
