Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Sensation prevailed in Barwah area of Khargone district on Saturday after bodies of a couple were found in a canal.
The police sources said hands of couple were found tied with one another. Though, no note was recovered from spot, the police said it seems to be a case of suicide.
According to police sources, a bike and a bag were recovered from a road, few metres away from the spot. In the bag, a mobile phone of the boy, masks and other essential things were kept.
The boy has been identified as Hemant Chouhan, a resident of village Gambhir in Harda district. He was staying in Indore for past few years and worked as a mechanic. A missing person complaint was filed by Chouhan’s parents at Aerodromme police station in Indore.
Khargone superintendent of police Shailendra Singh Chouhan said identity of the girl is yet to be established. “Prima facie, it seems to be a case of suicide, but possibility of foul play can’t be ruled out. Nothing can be said clearly till we receive autopsy report. Boy’s family has been informed and efforts are on to establish girl’s identity,” he said.
