Indore : Junior doctors of MY Hospital will go on indefinite strike once again from Tuesday in support of their 12-point demands. The decision was taken after their talks with the Health Minister, Director of Medical Education and Principal Secretary failed, on Monday.
The junior doctors have decided to conduct parallel OPD outside the OPD building of the hospital. Under the banner of MP Central Junior Doctors Association, the junior doctors of all government medical colleges of the State are protesting against the government inaction.
President of Junior Doctors Association Dr Pankaj Tejasvi said: “We will go on indefinite strike once again and more than 1500 junior doctors of the State will participate in it.”
He further said that this time, they would hit the emergency services also.
“On Monday, office-bearers of the JDA had talks with Health Minister Narottam Mishra and other senior officials and they gave us only assurances but didn’t take any action,” Tejasvi added.
He further said that they would once again hold a meeting with the officials on Tuesday and end the strike only after any favorable action.
Tejasvi also flayed the hospital administration and said that they didn’t even provide a proper doctors’ duty room in the hospital and even failed to provide water in the hospital toilets.
