Joint cop team of Indore, Dhar raid 4 tribal villages

Indore: Police recovered 15 vehicles from Bagh and Tanda, the tribal area in Dhar district during a raid early on Saturday. However, the suspects could not be arrested during the raid conducted by the joint team of Indore and Dhar police. Kanadiya police station staff had arrested two persons with stolen goods worth Rs 6.6 lakh a couple of days ago.

Following the lead given by the accused, police later arrested an accused Anil who soiled the beans saying that some of his accomplices are involved in bike-lifting in the city and other districts. The accused are in their villages in Tanda and Bagh presently.

After the information, a team led by an ASP, two CSP’s and five police station in-charges was constituted by the senior police officials. Later, hundreds of policemen, including cops from Dhar district raided Chichba, Beklya, Kodi and Agar Jhopda and recovered 38 two-wheelers from there.

Kanadiya police station incharge Anil Singh Rathore said it was confirmed that 15 vehicles were stolen from city and other districts while the verification of 23 vehicles is being done. Three suspects Ashvin, Sunil of Beklya village and Sanjay of Agar Jhopda village managed to flee during the police raid. They are being searched by the police. The accused used to reach posh areas
