Jewellery worth Rs 3.5-L stolen from scooter

Indore : Unidentified miscreants took away gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 3.5 lakh from the dickey of a scooter in Lasudia area a few days ago.

Police have registered a case and trying to trace the accused after examining CCTV cameras installed nearby.

Retired bank officer Rameshchandra Jain, a resident of Mahalaxami Nagar, filed a complaint with Lasudia police that he had come to Bombay Hospital square for some work on November 18 and parked his scooter near an ATM booth. When he returned, he found his scooter’s dickey opened and gold and silver ornaments missing.

Jain immediately informed his family members about the incident and reached the police station.

The police said they were checking footage of CCTV cameras installed at ATM booth and nearby areas to identify the accused.
